Go to start > Open RUN > Type "CMD" > Hit enter > Black window will open and type ping [IP of device]
To see IP of the device: go to the device menu on your biometric device. Go to Comm > Ethernet and you will find IP over there.
And make sure DHCP mode is OFF.
If DHCP mode is off and IP is 0.0.0.0 then it means the device is not in connection. Call biometric vendor.
